Why we started

I started Smyth Candle Co 7 months after my daughter Alaina Smyth was born. 

I’ve always loved the feeling of coming home. That feeling is only made more special & more soothing when I have beautiful scents welcoming me as I walk in the door. Smells being so closely tied to emotion and memory. While I was pregnant I started to wonder about what was in the candles I was burning. What I was breathing in and passing on to my unborn baby. I had decided to research what was in paraffin wax candles sold by big chain retailers, and I was shocked by the results.. From there I purchased a candle making kit, sourced natural supplies, and started testing. And just like that Smyth Candle Co was born!

Our products use 100% natural soy wax, a cotton or wood wick, essential oils or fragrance oils that do not contain Phlalates and Parabens. Our scents don't overpower you or cause any headaches.
